The Finecrete Edge Over AAC Blocks
What makes Finecrete products stand-apart?
- About 80 percent of an AAC block is air, so it barely weighs a third of a clay brick. Aluminium with blended proportion of cement, gypsum, fly ash and lime gives it its honey-comb structure. It is then further processed under extreme pressure steam to attain the required strength. Our best in class products saves around 30% of construction time, reduce the dead load of the building by one-third and saves 15-20% construction cost. Available in a wide range of thicknesses and sizes, our products are manufactured following strict IS codes for quality norms
Features of AAC Blocks & Panels
Light-Weight
- Finecrete walling material is the lightest because it contains very high volume of air.
Super Strong
- Formed as a result of reaction of Aluminium on a proportionate blend of lime, cement and flash, the Hydrogen gas that escapes creates millions of tiny cells giving it strong honeycomb structure. It is further strengthened by high pressure steam in autoclaves.
Fire-Resistant
The unique cellular structure provides excellent fire rating. Due to this cellular structure AAC blocks do not disintegrate even in fire. The Finecrete material has best in class fire rating of 4 hours. The melting point of AAC blocks are over 1600˚C, more than twice the typical temperature of fire which is 650˚C.
Earthquake-Resistant
The light weight blocks show excellent resistance to earthquake forces. Regions of high seismic activities like Japan exclusively use AAC blocks. It has been proven to withstand wind loads of category 5 tropical storms
Acoustic Properties
With their closed air pockets, AAC lightweight blocks can provide very good sound insulation / sound absorption with an STC (Sound Transmission Class) rating of 44. It can also be used as a sound barrier wall along busy roads. Result, virtually sound proof interiors!
Thermal Insulation
Our products enjoy the highest thermal rating in the industry, R301. Its cellular structure provides well insulated interior, keeping out warm air in summers and cold air in winters. AAC reduces cost of air conditioning upto 30%.
Water Barrier
Microscopic Structure of lightweight block does not allow for capillary action making it impervious to water. Its water barrier properties are further enhanced by adding silicon based additives.
High Strength
High pressure steam-curing autoclaving process gives AAC blocks unmatchable strength to weight ratio, higher than even M 150 concrete, and far exceeds the Indian Building Code requirements.
Energy Efficient
AAC is 100% green building material & is a walling material of choice in LEED certified buildings (ITC centre the highest rated green building has been build using AAC) AAC is the most energy and resource efficient in the sense that it uses least amount of energy & material per m3 of product. Unlike brick manufacturing process which uses precious layer to layer agricultural soil and is being one major cause of high fertile soil erosion. AAC uses fly ash (65% of its weight), thus provides the most constructive solution to the nation’s fly-ash utilisation problem.
Pest Resistant
With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer if any, cavity for insects and rodents to dwell in. Termites and ants do not eat or nest in AAC blocks. Being made up of in-organic minerals, light weight blocks does not promote growth of moulds.
